Kick Off Your 4th of July with A Bang

Celebrate the Holiday All Weekend Long

Independence Day is on a Tuesday this year, but that’s not stopping Sunriver Resort from celebrating all weekend long! From live music and happy to paint parties and bike parades, we’re offering fun for every person visiting for the holiday.

If you’re here for the extended weekend, these daily activities will keep you busy having the time of your life.

  • Enjoying the “Wild and Scenic” Deschutes River is a must-have in the summer, and the best way to take in the views is by floating on a canoe, kayak, raft or paddleboard at the Sunriver Marina, open daily from 9am-4pm.
  • Sunriver Resort is a huge 3,300 acre community, so we recommend renting a bike from the Bike Barn and cruise all of Sunriver’s 40+ miles of paved bike paths. The Bike Barn is open daily from 9:30am-5pm. Did we mention you can rent your bike for your entire stay?!
  • There’s nothing like relaxing poolside with a cold beverage in-hand. The Cove Pool Complex and The Spotted Frog Café are open daily from 10am-10pm, with lounge chairs, private cabanas and a food and drink menu to keep you satisfied.
  • Happy Hour is the best time to gather before your nightly activity takes place. Check out The Living Room or Twisted River Tavern from 3:30pm-5pm every day for a late-afternoon pick-me-up to keep the party going.
  • Summertime isn’t only about hanging outdoors. Try out one of the luxurious summer spa specials at Sage Springs Club & Spa, such as the Mojito Mint Facial or Tropical Trade Winds Pedicure. Open daily; reservations required.

That’s not all. We’re celebrating to the fullest with a few special events, so if you’re sticking around through the 4th of July then you should check these out!

  • Live Music – Head on out to The Backyard, pull up a blanket and enjoy delicious food and local brews, wine and cocktails. Concert dates: June 29 & 30; July 1 & 4; 6:30pm-8:30pm
  • Backyard Happy Hour – From 5pm-7pm, The Backyard is featuring a different happy hour special every night! July 2: Family Fun Night | July 3: Growler Night | July 4: Putts & Pints
  • 4th of July 5K Fun Run – Head through the Sunriver meadow and take in the views of Mt. Bachelor and Central Oregon wildlife in this 5K fun run. Race starts at 8:15am on the 4th of July.
  • 4th of July Bike Parade and Pre-Party – Decorate your bike in red, white and blue at the pre-party on July 3rd for a chance to win some cool prizes! Then join in on the fun at the annual Bike Parade on July 4th, starting at 10am.
  • Paint Party – Paint a masterpiece outside in the mountain air and alongside the water’s edge with the professionals from It’s Just Paint. All supplies are included! Make your reservation for Thursday, Friday or Saturday from 4pm-6pm by calling 541-593-4609.
