The slopes are waiting for you. With more than 800 acres and 20 groomed runs to ski or ride, Mount Bachelor offers some of the best skiing/snowboarding experiences in the entire Pacific Northwest. And Sunriver, just 20 minutes away, makes it easy to make the most of this powdery paradise – daily shuttles are available during designated times. You’ll be zipping down the slopes in no time.
Cross-Country Skiing Excursions
Mount Bachelor is also a great spot to enjoy the serenity and physical exercise of cross-country skiing, with more than 30 miles of groomed track-set trails. It’s not the only game in town though – Paulina Lakes and Virginia Meisner also have miles of spectacular terrain to explore. And if you’ve come to Sunriver with your four-legged friend, head out to the nearby Edison Sno-Park … dogs are welcome!

Snowmobiling Adventures
Want to speed things up a bit? All winter, Central Oregon Adventures will offer daily, four-hour snowmobile trips give you the chance to zoom across snowy meadows and high-mountain terrain – a winter adrenaline rush like no other, with spectacular sights thrown in for good measure. For added eye-candy, try the two-hour sunset tour.
Sledding Tubing
It’s a seasonal classic that never gets old. There’s nothing kids (and let’s face it, adults, too!) like more in the winter than sledding or tubing down a snow-covered hill. You’ve got plenty of options near Sunriver, including Wanoga Sno-Park and Edison Sno-Park. And don’t miss Mount Bachelor’s amazing Snowblast Tubing Park, with its pulse-pounding 800-foot ride.
Dashing Through the Snow
Another time-honored winter tradition comes to life at Sunriver – one-horse open sleigh rides. You and your family will get cozy under warm blankets and take a beautiful trip along the Deschutes River. Go ahead and sing a few choruses of “Jingle Bells.”
